Description Released December 2025 Built in late 1959 for a predecessor road and repainted and serviced by Burlington Northern in 1973, these plug and sliding door cars were used for lumber and other sensitive commodities. Burlington Northern was formed through the mergers of Great Northern and Northern Pacific in 1970, and then merged with ATSF in 1995 to form BNSF.
