The Bass & Hays standard BH5C® Lid-8, a 20″ cast iron locking meter box lid with a hole for touch-read devices, is a durable and versatile solution for water meter access. This stock item is crafted from coated cast gray iron that meets ASTM A48 CL35B or better standards, ensuring long-lasting performance. It is compatible with BH® 55™ TEXAS SPECIAL®, 548®, and 536™ galvanized meter boxes, as well as BH® P55P™, P548P™, P536P™, and P55PD18™ series plastic meter boxes with ductile iron rings. Additionally, it can be used in the BH-58™ meter vault access plate assembly. While not recommended for traffic use, other lettering or lid styles are available through special orders.
